Tom Sandoval Slams Shuttered Bakery for Making ‘Sandoval’s a Liar’ Cakes: ‘Almost Pushed Me Over the Edge’

Tom Sandoval has a problem with a bakery in Los Angeles that “really hurts [his] feelings.”

The Los Angles-based Sweet Lady Jane bakery chain recently announced on social media that it was closing its doors abruptly after sales “were not sufficient to continue operating in the state of California.”

Blake Lively, Sophia Bush and others flocked to the comments section of the bakery’s Instagram post to say goodbye to the company.

And while most celebrities and customers shared words of support with the bakery, which has been a community staple for 35 years, Vanderpump Rules the star used the moment to express her frustrations.

In May 2023, the company shared a picture of a cake with the phrase “Sandoval is a liar” written in icing. This comes after news broke that Sandoval had been cheating on his longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix with their co-star Raquel Leviss.

Now Vanderpump alum Billie Lee tagged Sandoval, 40, in the latest post questioning whether the store’s closing was “karma.”

“I’ve never had a cake from @sweetladyjanecakeshop that wasn’t super dry,” Sandoval replied. “Maybe people are starting to understand?”

Sandoval then aired his complaints about his name being used on their famous three berry cake. “Also, to collect $$$ selling cakes using my name in the negative [sayings] that really hurt my feelings and almost pushed me over the edge,” he added. “Good day ✌🏼”

At the time of the scandal, Sweet Lady Jane was also selling limited edition cupcakes emblazoned with “Team Ariana”.

Sandoval’s friend Lee wrote that Sweet Lady Jane “desperately wanted to sell cupcakes, but clearly a negative, hateful approach didn’t work” — but other celebrities in their farewell Instagram posts were instead focused on the company’s overall legacy.

“No. No. No,” Blake Lively (36) reacted to the news. “with a broken heart I send love and gratitude for years of joy and sweetness. Come open in NY. We need you here 🙂 ❤️”

“This is such a loss for our community,” Bush added. “I just… I hate this. And I just love you and your work so much. ♥️”
