He is a comedy writer and producer

In addition to acting, Armstrong is a writer and producer whose work spans late-night television and various talk shows. According to his IMDb, he produced 13 episodes Daily show and three episodes Patriotic act with Hasan Minhajamong others.

He and Lee met in college

Armstrong met Lee at Northwestern University, where the actress studied theater and performed in sketch comedy. In the past, he has posted funny memories from when the two were at school on his Instagram.

Armstrong and Lee were married on September 7, 2014.

She shares two children with Lee

Armstrong and Lee are the parents of two little ones, sons Apollo Joosung and Raphael Joobaek. The couple welcomed them in August 2016 and April 2019 respectively.

While Lee described the attention she received for her first starring role at the age of 40 as “a complete dream,” she is aware of her reality of life as someone who is an actress and mother of two young children.

Armstrong posted a sweet tribute to Lee on Instagram on Mother’s Day 2023. “Raising kids with a partner is a gamble. When you start dating someone in your 20s, you generally don’t think about whether they can pull rockets out of cardboard boxes,” he began in the caption.

“No parent is perfect, or very good, at first. I’m not. But I feel like I hit the lottery with you @thegreta (and even though lotteries are problematic, they fund schools or something I think, so I win double?) I love you Happy Mother’s Day.”

Armstrong and Lee lived together in New York before moving to California. After a decade, the couple moved from Brooklyn to the LA suburbs in 2020 to live a quieter family life.

The move was ironic for Lee, who said W Magazine that he will “never return” to the city he now lives 30 minutes away from. After Lee was cast Morning showshe and Armstrong moved to their California hilltop property that had once been a goat farm.

Now, apart from their two children, Vogue reported that the couple “raises three chickens that are free-range unless hawks or coyotes are circling nearby.”
