Toni-Ann was born in 1996 in Morant, St. Thomas Town, Jamaica (23 years old; as of 2019). At the age of 9, Tony moved to Florida with his family. She joined Palmetto Ridge High School and Naples Community School in Florida to complete her education. She joined Florida State University in Tallahassee where she graduated with majors in Women’s Studies and Psychology. She aspires to become a doctor.

Toni-Ann Singh’s father, Bradshaw Singh, is of Indo-Caribbean descent. Her mother is Jahrine Bailey-Singh, who is of African-Caribbean descent. Toni is very close to her mother. She posted a photo with her mother on Instagram with the caption:
I am the product of many incredible sacrifices made by a #WorthyWoman. Every hour (and there were many hours) spent waiting in the car for voice, piano or ballet lessons to end. Every lesson is taught and retaught. There are no thanks enough…this moment is ours. I love you mom. “
After winning the Miss World 2019 title, she said,
My family is very important here and their support motivates me to do my best. When Dad came on stage to hug me, he accidentally knocked the crown off, but that was just Dad. “
Profession
Tony served as President of the Caribbean Students Association on campus. The first beauty pageant she participated in was the Florida Caribbean Association Pageant in 2005. In 2019, she participated in the 58th Miss Jamaica competition. She won the competition and was crowned Miss Jamaica Robinson 2019 by Khadija Miss Jamaica World 2018 on September 21, 2019.
Roshelle McKinley and Alanna Wanliss finished second and third respectively.
Singh became the fourth contestant of Jamaican origin to win the Miss World 2019 title in London. The other three winners were Carol Joan Crawford in 1962, Cindy Brespiel in 1976 and Lisa Hannah in 1993.
Miss France Ophely Mezino and Miss India Suman Rao won the second and third place respectively in the competition.
In addition to winning the title, Tony also won the Talent Challenge, Best Personality and Most Photogenic awards in the competition.

- Toni started singing in the local church when she was about five or six years old. At the age of 9, she started taking singing seriously and later took music lessons. She is an accomplished opera singer. She said in an interview,
I think there was a time when I (wanted to sing) really thought about what I wanted to do with my life, and it ended up being serving people, serving medicine, and helping people in my community. I haven’t written it off yet. If the door is open, why not? “

- She was inspired to enter the pageant by former Miss Jamaica winner Terry-Carel Reed. Tony said in an interview,
I had a platform that I was developing so I entered the Florida Caribbean Association pageant and Terry was one of the judges and she asked me if I would like to compete in the Miss Jamaica World Pageant and I decided to give it a try. “
