Dino James is an Indian singer, rapper, lyricist, composer and actor signed to Def Jam Recordings India. He is best known for his rap songs based on his life experiences.

Dino James was born on Friday, 27 September 1991 (age 31; as of 2022) in Ghoradongri village, Sarni, Betul district, Madhya Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Libra. He attended a school near his village and graduated in Nagpur, Maharashtra. He was not interested in studying and wanted to be an actor. At the age of 18, he left home and came to Mumbai.

After arriving in Nagpur, Dino enrolled in an acting class to learn acting. His acting skills improved and he started working in an advertising agency and filmed several commercials. He also collaborated with actor-director Pradeep Sarkar. However, he did not get prominent roles and instead had many minor roles or guest appearances in television shows. He worked different types of jobs, including being a fitness instructor and a model, to support himself. However, after spending 8 years in Mumbai, he decided to return to his hometown as he felt uncertain about his future and could not find any job.

In 2010, he returned home to Guradongri and started helping his father. However, in 2012 he returned to Mumbai again. His friends told him that his writing skills were better than his acting skills; but he ignored them and continued to look for work. Dino wasn’t getting any great jobs and felt uncertain about his future as an actor. He met a man on the beach who was playing guitar and singing a self-composed song. Dino talked to the guy and he decided to write songs and become a rapper. His first song was “Loser” which was released on October 17, 2016 on the BeingIndian channel. On October 19, 2016, he released another song “Girlfriend” on his YouTube channel Dino James. These songs made him popular among the youth and he released many songs like “Yaadein”, “Unstoppable”, “Hancock”, “Maa” based on his life experiences; some of these songs were released under Sony Music India issued. In February 2022, he signed with Def Jam Recordings India, and on May 25, 2022, his debut album “D” was released under the banner of Def Jam Recordings India. In September 2022, he served as a monitor (mentor) in the rap reality show Hustle 2.0 broadcast on MTV.

In September 2023, Dino James was criticized for supporting Indian singer Shub, whose concert was canceled due to supporting Khalistani elements. Shortly after posting the Instagram story, Dino James deleted the story and issued an apology. In another Instagram Story, he clarified that he didn’t know the specific reason behind Shubh’s concert cancellation and that his initial post was just an expression of sympathy for an artist.
