Tori Spelling recalls the moment she Beverly Hills, 90210 actor Luke Perry told her he was dating Madonna.
In the latest episode of her and Jennie Garth’s podcast 90210 MGThe 50-year-old actress shared that Perry discovered he was dating the music icon while on the set of the hit Fox series, which ran for 10 seasons from 1990 to 2000.
“I’ll never forget how he dragged me into his dressing room and told me,” she recalled. “I felt so trusted. ‘Oh my God, tell me about Madonna.'”

Spelling added that Perry, who died at age 52 in 2019, also urged her to listen to the “Vogue” singer’s message.
“Remember how we used to have answering machines, folks? He played her message for me,” she recalled. “I said, ‘You’re the best person in the whole world. One, because you’re Luke Perry, and the other, because Madonna wants you.'”
However, Garth, 51, revealed she may not have been privy to her co-star’s romance, asking: “Did I know that?”

“Jen, we hid these things from you because [that’s something] you would like to hear,” she jokingly replied.

Perry came to present the award after opening the show Love letters the same night. Madonna greeted him on stage with a kiss, which fueled rumors of a romance, the newspaper said.

After their romance, Madonna went on to have relationships with Dennis Rodman and Carlos Leon. The couple has a daughter, Lourdes Leon. She later married Guy Ritchie, with whom she shares Rocco and David Banda. She also adopted a daughter Mercy and twins Stella and Estere.
As for Perry, he married Rachel Sharpe in 1993 and the couple have a son, Jack, 26, and a daughter, Sophie, 23. Their relationship ended a decade later.
