Tori Spelling Shares Photo of Son Liam Prepping for Foot Surgery: ‘Not Sure Who’s More Nervous’

Tori Spelling just shared a health update on behalf of her son.

The actress, 50, shared a photo of her eldest child, Liam Aaron McDermott, 16, preparing for foot surgery on Wednesday afternoon.

Liam shares Aaron with ex-husband Dean McDermott, as well as Stella Doreen (15), Hattie Margaret (11), Finn Davey (10) and Beau Dean (6).

“My first baby is waiting to have foot surgery,” Spelling wrote on her Instagram Story. “I’m not sure who’s more nervous him or mom.”

The Beverly Hills, 90210 The alum shared a photo of her teenage son lying in a hospital bed as she posed for the camera.

“Proud of your bravery,” she wrote to Liam. “And things can only get better after this.”

Spelling did not reveal why Liam had surgery, but her oldest son was not present at the family’s recent outing for the Jingle Ball concert in Los Angeles 2023. Spelling was joined by her four younger children at the Dec. 1 event.

“Jingle Ball 2023 … Music, Kiddos and Glitter OH MY GOD! My kids, friends and family had the BEST time last weekend!” – wrote Spelling on Instagram, where she shared photos of her four children at the concert. She thanked iHeartRadio for “making a pre-teen, teen, and mom’s dream come true by seeing @oliviarodriga.”

“After the challenging 2023, it was all about seeing Olivia! She was our anthem and music champion [sic] this time. We sang our hearts out to her,” Spelling continued.

Spelling and McDermott, 56, split in June, and since then the actor has been open about what he saw as problems in their marriage with Daily mail in November.

“I just isolated more and more and more and she isolated herself with the kids. We were roommates,” McDermott said.

“We rarely, rarely, rarely ate together. We would sit down and have a family lunch, but it was always disjointed,” he continued. “I felt worse because I knew I was a big part of it [the problem] and I was in a place where I felt there was nothing I could do.”

While Spelling has yet to speak publicly about the status of her relationship with McDermott, sources previously told PEOPLE that the couple appeared to be on good terms before her husband made the announcement in June.

“Their friends have seen their ups and downs over the years, but they really seemed to be in a good place in recent months,” a source close to Spelling told PEOPLE. “This seems sudden.”
