The unnamed woman is said to have collided head-on with the 35-year-old man on the black slope of the Aiguille Rouge piste, according to French news outlet Le Dauphine.
The “violent” crash reportedly happened around 10:30 a.m. today in the Savoie region of the French Alps.
During that time, the Brit stood still on the track and suffered a broken leg.
He was rushed to a local hospital in the region, reports said.
Both victims were wearing helmets at the time of the fatal crash, reports said.
It is still not clear how the woman died, and the investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Black slopes are known as the most difficult routes to navigate and are often very steep.
The Foreign Office, Commonwealth & Development has confirmed that it is supporting the British woman’s family.
The Sun has contacted Les Arcs ski resort for comment.

The disaster happened around noon in the northern region of Piedmont on the Italian border with Switzerland.
Five skiers were caught in a terrifying avalanche on the eastern side of Punta Valgrande.
Two others survived and were rushed to hospital by helicopter.
In December, another European avalanche caused destruction after an 18-year-old international judo star was killed.
Emre Yazgan is believed to have been climbing at the Palandoken Ski Center in Erzurum, northeastern Turkey, when the disaster occurred.
Footage from the scene shows a snow-covered mountain and what appears to be people searching for the missing young man.
