A LITTLE CHILD died in a tragic accident after her father ran his car over her in reverse, the investigation showed.
Haniyah Bint Vaqas Youni was just 19 months old when she died after being run over in her driveway in Dewsbury on 21 May 2023.

Haniyah sat in the back blind spot behind her dad’s BMW
The child was playing in the garden, before walking along the path next to the family house.
She walked out through an unlocked gate onto the front driveway at around 10am, an inquest at Bradford Coroner’s Court was told yesterday.
Haniyah sat in the rear blind spot behind her dad’s BMW three series and was tragically killed 10 minutes later.
West Yorkshire Police’s collision investigation unit previously determined Hanniyah’s small size meant she was unlikely to be detected by the car’s sensors.
The investigation found out that two doctors who live on the street ran to the terrible scene and tried to save the girl.
They found Haniya’s mom rocking her daughter and saw blood on the child.
Emergency services rushed Haniyah to Leeds General Infirmary where she was pronounced dead at 11.32am.
The official cause of death of the 19-month-old child was recorded as a traumatic head injury.
Senior Coroner Martin Dominic Fleming said: “Haniyah was a lovely, lively, healthy little girl.
“The great tragedy here is that there was nothing to alert the father to her presence.”
