She and her boyfriend were walking in the shallow foamy sea of the Russian resort of Sochi.
The couple share a romantic moment before a massive terrorist wave knocks them off their feet.
The two fall before the Russian woman struggles to get up and is pulled away from shore by the current.
Her panicked boyfriend tries to get help and even rushes into the deadly waters to save her.
The attempt was unsuccessful as he was pushed back by the intensity of the waves.
Despite rigorous searches, Diana from Lipetsk has been missing for three days and is presumed dead, reports say.
But there was an uproar on social media over bystanders who watched or filmed the fatal accident instead of saving her.
“The men stood and looked at the helpless girl, at her death,” reads one comment.

Another claimed: “she could have been saved if someone had acted quickly.”
Some criticized the boy who “is the initiator of dangerous swimming in the sea”.
A local report stated: “The couple came ashore in bad weather.
“Young people jokingly pushed each other and ended up in the water.
“The man managed to overcome the current and get out, but his girlfriend was swept away by the wave….
“The young man could not hold her and did not immediately realize that he was dragging his beloved into the depths.
“He walked confused along the water’s edge.”
A police investigation into this incident is ongoing.
