Now it can be revealed that an assistant lifted his head to try to get him some air, writes the Los Angeles Times.

He was said to be dead when Los Angeles firefighters arrived at his home in Pacific Palisades.

An LAFD spokesperson said: “The adult male patient was deceased before first responders arrived.

“The patient was found by a passer-by who repositioned the victim in the place where the head was out of the water.

“Firefighters pulled the victim from the jacuzzi and a quick medical evaluation determined him to be dead.”

Police have confirmed that the death is under investigation, but there is no doubt that it was foul play.

Perry’s assistant called 911 to report cardiac arrest.

The 15-second audio recording is about a drowning — known as Medical Emergency 9.

The first responder said, “Agent 23rd Rescue 23rd EMS 9 on the radio. Responding to a drowning.”

He was honest about his struggles with drink and drugs and his health problems.

No narcotics were found at the scene, but authorities found antidepressants, anti-anxiety medication and medication for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

On the morning of his death, Matthew was playing pickleball with a racket with a friend, who revealed the star had been feeling unwell and “tired” for the past week.

The actor was said to be in good spirits while playing at the Riviera Country Club near his home in the Pacific Palisades region of Los Angeles.

He returned home and later sent his assistant on an errand, but he was unresponsive when they returned two hours later.
