The professional life of Brett Favre

The Atlanta Falcons selected Brett Favre in the first round of the 1991 NFL Draft. He was with them for just one season before being traded to the Green Bay Packers in 1992. Brett Favre joined the Green Bay Packers in 1992. He spent 16 seasons with the Packers, leading them to two Super Bowl victories and becoming the first NFL player to win three straight MVP awards. He was an integral part of the Packers appearing in two Super Bowls, winning Super Bowl XXXI and losing Super Bowl XXXII. After that, he appeared in every Packers game from September 20, 1992 to January 20, 2008. Favre’s ironman streak would last 297 games, an NFL record. After being traded by the Packers

Brett joined the New York Jets in 2008. Although he officially announced his retirement in 2008, he came out of retirement to play briefly for the New York Jets. While his 2008 season with the Jets got off to a good start, the team lost four of their last five games, including the season finale against the Miami Dolphins, and missed the playoffs. He remained with the Jets until April 28, 2009, when the Jets released Favre from his contract, allowing him to sign with any team he wanted.

On August 18, 2009, Brett Favre officially signed a contract with the Minnesota Vikings. He played against his former team, the Packers, passing for 271 yards and three touchdowns in a 30-23 loss. As a result, Favre became the first quarterback in NFL history to beat each of the league’s 32 teams. Brett Favre has announced his retirement. After playing for Minnesota for a long time, he decided to retire in January 2011 due to health issues. He had a habit of taking painkillers to recover from injuries on the field. A month of rehab was not enough to get rid of the habit. He also suffered from memory loss, which he suspected was caused by the multiple concussions he suffered during his career.
