After sharing the news on Xu, the Blink-182 drummer wrote: “I can handle almost anything God throws at me”
Travis Barker shares more about his health with fans.
After revealing that he tested positive for COVID-19 on Sept. 22, the Blink-182 drummer, 47, shared a few updates about his health and well-being on Xu (formerly known as Twitter).
On Friday, Barker wrote a post on X revealing that in addition to having COVID last week, he also had “an episode of trigeminal neuralgia and a root canal. Which means I can handle pretty much anything God throws at me.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, trigeminal neuralgia is “a condition that causes painful, electric shock-like sensations on one side of the face.”

In an earlier post on X, Barker, who is preparing to rejoin his bandmates for the rest of the European leg of their tour, once again opened up about his fear of flying. “I still hate flying. I love touring and playing music, but unfortunately I associate traveling and flying with death,” he wrote on the social media platform. “I am strong and nothing can stop me from living life 💪.”
In 2008, Barker suffered third-degree burns to 65 percent of his body and underwent several skin grafts and surgeries after a plane crash. After a performance in South Carolina, the drummer and his longtime collaborator DJ AM (Adam Michael Goldstein) boarded a plane that crashed shortly after takeoff.
The crash killed Barker’s assistant Chris Baker, pilot Sarah Lemmon and co-pilot James Bland, as well as his security guard Charles “Che” Still. Unfortunately, Goldstein died of a prescription drug overdose a year later.
In July, the drummer marked his 30th flight since the accident.
Blink-182’s next show is scheduled for Oct. 2 at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, according to the band’s website. The rockers’ upcoming album “All the Small Things” is set to be released on October 20th, and earlier this month they released a new single “One More Time”.

The birth of the couple’s child comes less than a month after The Kardashians star revealed she underwent “emergency fetal surgery”.
After Blink-182 revealed they had postponed some of their European tour dates because Barker had to return to the United States for an “urgent family matter”, the couple later confirmed that Kourtney had experienced a complication with her pregnancy.
Alongside a photo of their entwined hands on Instagram, the mum-to-be wrote: “I will be forever grateful to my amazing doctors for saving our baby’s life.”
“I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterward, my rock,” she continued in the Sept. 6 post. “And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”

She continued: “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of being rushed into emergency fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for moms who had to fight for their babies while they were pregnant.”
“Praise be to God,” she finished. “Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy safe and sound was a real blessing.”
