After winning the AFC Championship on Sunday and celebrating on the court with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce is toasting the people who gave him “a reason to play that much harder.”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, opened up about his candid celebratory moment with Swift, 34, during Friday’s pre-Super Bowl press conference.
“It’s another memory on the trip that we have to cherish,” Kelce told reporters after being asked about the postgame celebration.
“I’m happy that I got all the support I need off the field,” he added. “And, you know, it gives me a reason to play a lot harder on the court of the people you just mentioned.”

After Kelce’s Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens last week, Swift joined him on the court to celebrate the win, when she could be seen saluting him while surrounded by teammates and cameras.
“Tay, I’m going to have fun with the boys,” Kelce Swift said, before going in for a kiss and telling her, “I love you.”
The next stop for the Chiefs is Super Bowl LVIII, where they will face the San Francisco 49ers on February 11 in Las Vegas.

And while Kelce is currently preparing for game day, a source close to him and Swift told PEOPLE this week that last week’s win was “the best night ever” for those involved. “The whole family was so, so excited and pumped,” the insider said, noting that “the phones were ringing off the hook all night with congratulations.”
“Going to Vegas now is indescribable,” the insider added. “Having his family there, all his best friends and managers, and of course Taylor, celebrating with him was very special.”
“It’s obvious, right? They’re genuinely happy together,” the source also shared about the couple. “She’s there to support him and cheer him on, and she’s a perfect fit with everyone he loves.”

Before the big game next week, Swifties were wondering if the musician would be cheering on Kelce from the sidelines of Allegiant Stadium. The Embassy of Japan in Washington, DC, has since shared an update on the possibility of Swift’s travel schedule on Friday.
On February 10, the day before the Super Bowl, Swift has an Eras Tour stop in Tokyo. However, as the embassy notes, she was still able to travel “comfortably”.
“Despite the 12-hour flight and the 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak now to say that if she leaves Tokyo the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the start of the Super Bowl,” the embassy wrote in a statement on social media.
“We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so we wanted to confirm that anyone interested can be Fearless knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still come to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red“, the press release concludes.

Swift is also scheduled to attend the Grammys on Sunday, before flying to Japan for four consecutive nights of performances at the Tokyo Dome.
