- Travis Kelce said he and girlfriend Taylor Swift talked about the public attention on their relationship
- The tight end admitted he “would be silly” not to acknowledge his rise to fame in the past year
- Kelce promised that his “focus” will remain on the success of the Kansas City Chiefs
Travis Kelce says he and Taylor Swift are shutting out “outside noise” as they navigate their relationship in the public eye.
On Friday, Kelce, 34, answered questions about his rising fame during a Chiefs press conference and said he and Swift, 34, had discussed the public attention on their romance.
In response to a reporter who specifically asked Kelce if the topic had come up with Swift, the tight end said he and the “Karma” singer “had a conversation” about managing privacy. “As long as we’re happy, we can’t listen to anything that’s outside noise,” Kelce said. “That’s all that matters.”

Kelce said he “would be silly” not to acknowledge the increased attention he’s received over the past year. “I think the Super Bowl helped that, and obviously the way I live off the field definitely helps,” he said, referring to the infamous 2023 “Kelce Bowl” between his Chiefs and his brother Jason Kelce’s Philadelphia Eagles, which his side won.
The first brother-on-brother matchup in the Super Bowl earned Kelce a visit to the Saturday night live and his mother, Donna Kelce, became a favorite figure among NFL fans at the time.
And amid his relationship with Swift, Kelce and his family have amassed a whole new and sizable fan base of Swifties who adore the 12-time Grammy winner.

Timeline of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship
“I brought this on myself and I’m enjoying having fun with it all, and the biggest thing is making sure my focus is right here in this building,” Kelce told reporters during a press conference Friday.
Kelce continued to point out all the “outside noise” from the media and fans, and said it’s challenging to “face the perspective of all the other stuff” while receiving criticism for a very public romance during a busy NFL season.

“You hear the media all year if we don’t have success, you know, maybe throw out that I wasn’t focused or the team wasn’t focused on certain things, and if you’re in this building, you know exactly what’s going on,” Kelce said.
“So you have to share what you’re hearing and make sure you stay on task and give everyone in the building and that team the right perception.”
