Chanel West Coast shared the devastating news about her father Jamie Dudley’s health.
The Humor alum, whose real name is Chelsea Chanel Dudley, announced in an Instagram post on Friday, Nov. 8, that her father has been diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous tumor.
“My dad has an inoperable tumor that is so large it cannot be treated with chemotherapy. Right now we are looking for a miracle,” she wrote in the post.
Her post continued: “I’m asking everyone reading this if you believe in GOD’s power. I am asking you with all my heart to pray for my dad. Praying that somehow he gets through this. Thank you for your support. 🥲🙏🏼♥️.”

The TV personality captioned her post with a request for prayers. “Pray for my dad to succeed. We need all the prayers we can get. I believe in miracles and I know that with enough people praying together they might have a chance 🥲🙏🏼♥️.”
Her boyfriend, Dom Fenison, responded in the comments section: “🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.”
After announcing the news on her profile, she shared the announcement on her Instagram Stories and followed it up with another message: “It’s in the most difficult moments when you see who really cares.”
Her stepmother, Linda Kuriloff, also reposted the photo on her Instagram stories on Nov. 8. She simply added, “💔🙏🏾.”

Throughout Chanel’s career, she has shared several photos with her father. Recently, in 2020, she celebrated her father and stepmother’s 16th wedding anniversary on Instagram. “You both bring so much love and light to this world and you deserve it all! For many more years together! I love you!❤️😘🥂,” she wrote in the description for March 2020.
In 2015, she shared a sweet photo of the couple in celebration of Father’s Day on her Facebook. “Happy Father’s Day to my dad aka Papa Eastcoast aka my twin lol! We’ve lived on the other side of the country all my life, but we always manage to stay close. I love you dad!❤️.”

Jamie is a DJ living in New York. During Chanel’s childhood, she was bi-directional, spending time with her father in New York and other time with her mother in Los Angeles, per LA Weekly.
She credits her visits to the East Coast and her father’s career as reasons why she wanted to pursue rap. According to her official website, Jamie would take 8-year-old Chanel with him when he DJed in crowded nightclubs. There she was hiding under his DJ booth.
“I’ve always been around music and I knew it was what I was going to do for the rest of my life. I had no choice,” she said about her music career.
