Travis Kelce Says He Was ‘Trying to Keep My Cool’ When Patriots Showed ‘Amazing’ Taylor Swift During Game

Travis Kelce was one of the thousands who admired Taylor Swift during the Kansas City Chiefs’ final game against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

In Wednesday’s episode New heights with Jason and Travis KelceTravis, 34, told of the moment his girlfriend, also 34, was shown on the big screen at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and how he tried to remain indifferent.

“They showed Taylor at the game, and I don’t think you see the entire home team fan base going crazy for someone wearing the colors of the opposing team,” said Swift’s Travis, who wore a gray Chiefs tracksuit and a crocheted cap with his jersey number, 87.

“It just goes to show you how amazing that girl is,” he continued on the podcast. “They went absolutely nuts when they showed Taylor on screen.”

“It’s pretty awesome,” added his brother, Jason Kelce.

“I was trying to keep my cool,” Travis continued with a laugh. “I said, ‘Don’t show your cards, don’t show your cards.’ It was fun, man. Shout out to the Patriots, New England. Taylor, she’s on record as saying that that stadium was one of the funniest she’s ever played in, so what they’re showing her is just kind of a show of love. So shout out to the Patriots what have done it.”

The tight end also noted that “there might have been a few Brads and Chads booing,” but “for the most part, everyone was freaking screaming for her.”

Scott wore a vintage red Chiefs sweater to watch the team’s 27-17 victory, and Jason, 36, commented on the podcast that the garment “looks good on him”.

“That’s a good sweater,” said Jason, who is a center for the Philadelphia Eagles. “I think his complexion really suits green better, if I do say so myself.”

“I don’t know, it kind of fits him really well,” Travis continued. “It’s a classy vintage joint. He’s rocking it, man, and he seems to be enjoying it, everybody seems to be enjoying the one here.”

“It’s the wrong team, but it’s a nice sweater!” Jason joked.

During the game, Scott was spotted sharing his daughter’s birthday cake with a group of people in the suite next to Taylor’s. The pop star celebrated her 34th birthday last week surrounded by friends.

In a viral clip shared by TikTok user Shannen Moen, Scott could be seen carrying a colorful six-layer cake into the suite and placing it on the table. He then showed Taylor, who was laughing and smiling through the glass partition.
