Travis Kelce Shouts Out Taylor Swift for Liking Post About His NFL Record: ‘Thanks Tay, I Appreciate You’

Travis Kelce is thankful for his girlfriend’s support!

During the latest episode New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce — a podcast he records with his brother Jason Kelce — Travis, 34, gave a shout-out to Taylor Swift for celebrating his recent NFL record.

On Sunday, Travis became the fastest tight end in NFL history to reach 11,000 receiving yards, and Swift, 33, was quick to express her support for her man’s history-making efforts.

The pop superstar liked an Instagram post from Travis’ team, the Kansas City Chiefs, who were celebrating the record on Monday.

And discussing Travis’ record and Swift’s show of support on their podcast, Jason, 36, remarked: “Maybe you don’t care about the record but you know who it is, a 92% player called Taylor Swift. That’s right. She liked the Chiefs Instagram post about you breaking this record.”

“Okay now. Thanks Tay,” Travis replied as he chuckled at his sibling’s comment.

“Gotta love the support,” Philadelphia Eagles center Jason joked. “Has she always been a fan of tight end yards? Is she a big tight end receiving yards [fan]?”

“I’m not sure, that’s a good question,” Travis replied. “Maybe. I don’t know. I don’t know if she’s a fan of tight ends or not. I’ll have to ask her.”

New couple Travis and Swift are balancing their relationship with busy careers. Travis recently traveled to Argentina to watch the “Karma” singer perform on her Eras Tour during his NFL bye week, and the pair were spotted kissing backstage.

The duo’s joint appearance in South America comes after a source close to Travis told PEOPLE that the romance was more than just a moment.

“Travis’ friends think this is the right thing for him,” said an insider close to the athlete. “They’re still a bit shocked about it all – that he’s coming out the Taylor Swift, but they saw how down to earth she was with his friends and family.”

The source added that the couple’s relationship is “growing” because they appreciate each other’s achievements and are both successful in their own right.

“They’re both really hard workers, and he recognizes that her art is hers and he has what’s his,” a source told PEOPLE. “He understands the territory that comes with their relationship and as he said, he doesn’t let any of the hype get in the way of their development together.”

“Their relationship is about the two of them, and he sees Taylor for who she is and vice versa,” they added.

Swift and Travis have been linked since September when the musician attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game, sparking dating rumors.
