Travis Kelce Supports Taylor Swift at Her First Eras Tour Show in Sydney

Travis Kelce flew halfway around the world to support Taylor Swift in Sydney for her Eras Tour!

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, was spotted walking through the crowd at his girlfriend’s concert on the first night of her world tour at Accor Stadium on Friday.

IN video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), Swift’s fans could be seen screaming as Kelce, who was dressed in a matching blue T-shirt and shorts, clapped and waved as he made his way to his seat to watch the performance.

The pop superstar’s first of four nights at the stadium kicked off just before 8pm local time after being delayed due to bad weather. “Please note that due to the weather the start of the show has been postponed,” the Accor Stadium announced publish at X. “Remain undercover until further notice and follow venue screens and staff instructions. Be safe and remember to be kind to those around you.”

Swift’s support act, Sabrina Carpenter, was unable to perform her set due to the delay.

Kelce wasn’t the only famous face to attend Friday’s show, along with singers Katy Perry and Rita Ora observed chatting in the crowd while waiting for the show to start. Ora’s husband, director Taika Waititi, also joined the duo.

PEOPLE confirmed Wednesday that Kelce will arrive in Australia to attend Friday’s show after speculation the athlete would travel to the country Down Under to see Swift, also 34. It’s currently unknown how many shows he plans to see.

The father of football star Ed Kelce told The Sydney Morning Herald that his son “seems delighted” to fly to Sydney. He added that Travis “said he would really like to see Sydney and Singapore” but “wasn’t sure because he has commitments”.

Since announcing their relationship in September, the power couple have made several appearances together. During 13 games last NFL season, Swift could be seen cheering on her boyfriend and his team from her suite. At the Super Bowl, after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers to defend their title, Swift was part of the courtside crowd celebrating with Kelce.

“Thank you for coming, baby,” Travis said as he listened to the microphone while holding Swift on the field. “Thank you for coming halfway around the world.” The pop star flew straight to Las Vegas from her last show in Tokyo to watch the Chiefs win in overtime.

Back in November, for Swift’s stay in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Travis flew to the “Cruel Summer” singer’s concert the following week. After Swift closed the show, cameras caught her running to hug and kiss her boyfriend backstage.

As Swift kicks off the 2024 leg of her two-year tour, Travis intends to spend the offseason following her. An insider told PEOPLE that the couple “are making plans for the summer and are excited to travel together in Europe when Taylor goes on tour there.”

Another source told PEOPLE that the Chiefs player is “ready to take a little break now and show up for Taylor the way she did for him.”
