Tushar Dalvi was born in Pimpri, a suburb of Pune, Maharashtra. After completing his primary education at a local school, Dalvi continued his graduation at Neswadia College of Commerce, Arts and Sciences. He majored in management after graduation. He was good at art since childhood and actively participated in cultural activities in college. He also participated in inter-school drama competitions and state level competitions. In his final year at university, he completed a project with a foreign bank.

Tushar Dalvi started his acting career in 1992 with the Marathi romantic drama Jivalaga. He made his Hindi film debut with the 1997 film Bandh Jharoke. He next starred in the Marathi film Bhet, which revolved around the emotional story of a mother-son reunion. The film was a critical and commercial success.
He went on to star in films like “Not Just Mrs. Raut”, “Devrai”, “Sanai Choughade”, “Kadachit” and “Madaari”.

Tushar made her television debut in 1992 with the show “Kshitij Ye Nahi”. Next, he appeared in the show “Naya Nukkad”. He rose to fame for his role as ‘Jayant’ in the TV series ‘CID’. In 1999, he appeared in about 10 episodes of CID. He has also appeared in TV shows like “Yeh Hui Na Baat” and “Shrimaan”. Shrimati”, “Zanjeerein” and “Vighnaharta Ganesha”.
In 2019, he played the role of “Sai Baba” in the TV series “Mere Sai: Shraddha Aur Saburi”, replacing Abir Sufi.
