TWO small children and a woman were rushed to hospital after being hit by a police car.
A police vehicle was in pursuit of a blue BMW when it crashed into three pedestrians in Leicestershire just after 4.40pm today.

A woman in her 30s and two 10-year-old children were hit near the junction of Narborough Road and Upperton Road.
The ambulance took all three to the hospital.
The woman is believed to have suffered “minor injuries” and the children were taken “as a precaution”.
Leicestershire Police are still looking for a blue BMW after the driver fled the scene.
The road is closed while the investigation is underway.
A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: “Just after 4.40pm today, police were given a chase after a car that failed to stop near the junction of Narborough Road and Upperton Road, Leicester.
“While the officer driving the police vehicle tried to pursue the car – a blue BMW – the police vehicle ran into three pedestrians.
“East Midlands Ambulance Service attended and a woman in her 30s and two 10-year-old children were assessed at the scene.
“It is assumed that the woman was slightly injured, everyone was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
“A blue BMW that failed to stop drove away from the area. An investigation is underway in this regard.
“The roads are currently closed while the accident is being dealt with.”
