The Sun exclusively revealed that Liam’s friends were planning to stage an intervention before his untimely death.
However, the Little Things hitmaker was in the middle of a string of exciting TV projects with a host of famous faces before he died.
Now questions have been raised about their future, and whether they will make it to the broadcast, The Sun exclusively reveals.
Liam signed up to be a judge on Netflix’s Building The Band and was seen in Manchester in August filming auditions at Aviva Studios.
The series set out to find a new boy band and was very similar to The X Factor, with a team of experts.
It was expected to appear on Netflix next year, but it seems unlikely that it will air after this week’s tragedy.
The streaming giant has yet to make a statement.
TV bosses also face another dilemma with the upcoming release of the major docu-series, Boybands Forever, co-produced by Louis Theroux.
It deals with the joys and pains of being in boy bands such as One Direction and Take That, and features Simon Cowell talking about his memories of creating 1D and his thoughts on the nineties and noughties phenomenon.
Promotion for the three parts is set to begin in a few days, with the BBC Two program expected to air next month, but the BBC may decide to push back the broadcast date in light of Liam’s death.
Liam Payne’s devastated sister Ruth has broken her silence in an emotional statement as she released unseen photos of the late star
It’s set up to be very uncomfortable to watch as it features multiple stars who were in boy bands and found themselves struggling to be in the spotlight – and then out of it.
Launching the show Louis said: “It features some of the icons of modern British pop – and we see them through their highs and lows.”
He added: “That’s how they came together, the experience of sudden fame, the opportunities and temptations that came their way, the conflicts within groups, between groups, and between the boys and their managers.
“It’s an exciting fairy tale about getting everything you’ve dreamed of without it being what you imagined, focused on a generation of young people and their managers, who were extremely successful and also extremely vulnerable, living their lives and also in some cases crack.”
