She won gold medals at the International Academy Boxing Championships in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, for three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015. She won the gold medal at the 2013 All India University Championships in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. She won a bronze medal in the 2015 Senior National Championships in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

On June 2, 2018, she had her first professional boxing match against Thai fighter Sirintip Wuychaiphoom in the Philippines. She usually competes in the bantamweight (118 lbs or 53.5 kg) and super bantamweight (122 lbs or 55.3 kg) classes. On March 12, 2022, she became the first women’s IBA world super bantamweight champion. On November 27, 2022, she became the first WBC International Super Lightweight Champion and the first WBC Asian Silver Crown Champion.

- In the early days of boxing, she often relied on tutoring and part-time jobs to support herself.
- She did not inform her parents about her boxing training and told them only after she won the gold medal in the Meerut state championships.
