Usha Sobhraj is the daughter of notorious French serial killer Charles Sobhraj, who was arrested by Nepali police in 2003 and sentenced to life imprisonment for the 1975 murder of an American in Nepal.
Wiki/Biography
Usha Sobhraj was born in the early 70s (age 50-55 in 2021) in Mumbai, India. In 1973, her criminal father, Charles Sobhraj, escaped from Delhi police custody and fled to Afghanistan with Usha and her mother, Chantal Compagnon. Charles and Usha’s mother were arrested at the Afghanistan-Iran border and imprisoned in Kabul, while Usha was deported to France by French embassy officials to live with her grandparents. Soon after his arrest, Charles escaped Afghan police custody by drugging a guard and went directly to Paris, where he drugged his mother-in-law and then kidnapped baby Usha. Soon after kidnapping Usha, Charles’s improper behavior landed him in jail again, after which Usha was once again sent to her grandparents. After her release from Kabul jail, Usha’s mother, Chantal, was given full custody of Usha and moved to the United States to keep Usha away from her father’s clutches forever. It is believed that Usha grew up in the United States; however, all efforts to contact her have failed over the years. In addition, not even a single photo of her and her mother, Chantal Compagnon, has been made public.
