Usher is married!
The 45-year-old Grammy winner and his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea, 40, tied the knot in Las Vegas on Feb. 11, where the singer performed at Super Bowl LVIII, PEOPLE has confirmed.
The couple exchanged vows in Vegas Weddings’ Terrace Gazebo, an outdoor wedding chapel that seats 30 guests. Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton, was the couple’s witness, according to the marriage certificate.
“We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea have taken the next step in their relationship and tied the knot Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family,” the singer’s rep told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement.
“They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for their well wishes.”

After the big game, the couple stepped out together in Las Vegas, and Usher was photographed wearing a gold band on his left ring finger. Goicoechea was dressed in an all-white pant suit with an off-the-shoulder jacket, tie at the waist and wide-leg trousers, while Usher wore a white fur coat over a black tuxedo.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE earlier this week, the 2024 Super Bowl halftime performer opened up about his relationship with Goicoeche.

“Look, when you find someone who you know is a great partner, of course it’s an honor and a pleasure to be able to share your life with someone who wants to share it with you and loves you for who you are,” he said. .
“Obviously, we committed to living together for life because of our kids,” Usher continued. “It wouldn’t be weird if we got married. We’re already here. You know what I’m saying?”
“And we’ll be in each other’s lives until we die, obviously, because we have something to share. It’s beautiful. Our kids. But not because of that. I really feel like I have an amazing partner that I respect.”

Usher also spoke about forming a deep connection with Goicoeche during his growing up time. “I started this journey, and I found and met an amazing partner who happened to be my best friend and was there the whole time, and I was like, wow, this could be great,” he said of the beginning of their romance, which began after taking a trip around the world in 2018.
The newlyweds welcomed their first child together, a daughter, Sovereign Bo, in 2020, followed by a son, Sire Castrello, in 2021. Usher also shares two sons, Usher V and Navid Ely, with ex-wife Tameka Foster.
Goicoechea and Usher first sparked dating rumors when they were photographed together at producer Keith Thomas’ 40th birthday party in June 2019.
Before performing at Super Bowl LVIII, Usher added that Goicoechea always cheers him on. “I have a great partner, a support system,” he told PEOPLE.

Usher went on to praise Goicoechee’s support and love, saying, “I’m very lucky, very lucky to have an amazing friend and not just a partner. She’s my best friend and I love her.”
Having worked in the music industry for years, Goicoechea met Usher several times before they got romantically involved.
In March 2016, she shared a photo of herself whispering in his ear at an undisclosed event. A few years later, in March 2018, she posted a photo tribute with him and other male creatives, including producer Bryan-Michael Cox, with the simple caption: “Boys Club.”

However, it wasn’t until they were photographed attending Thomas’ birthday party in Atlanta in June 2019 that rumors of a possible romance between the two began to swirl.
They were then spotted kissing backstage at a concert at the Hollywood Bowl in October 2019.
