Usher got married with his mom by his side!

The singer, 45, married his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, in Las Vegas on Sunday, the same day he headlined the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show. His mother, Jonnetta Patton, served as a witness at the couple’s ceremony in the drive-through tunnel of The Fast Lane Vegas Weddings, according to a wedding certificate obtained by PEOPLE.

A rep for the music superstar confirmed the couple’s wedding to PEOPLE on Monday.

“We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea have taken the next step in their relationship and tied the knot Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family,” a rep said in an exclusive statement.

“They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for their good wishes.”

After the big game on Sunday, Usher and Goicoechea, 40, stepped out together in Las Vegas wearing matching white outfits. The “My Boo” singer was photographed wearing a simple gold band on his left wedding finger.

Ahead of their wedding, the couple obtained a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada on Feb. 8, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE.

Usher recently told PEOPLE that he is open to the idea of ​​marrying Goicoeche, noting that the couple is already bonded over the two children they share: daughter Sovereign Bo, 3, and son Sire Castrello, 2.

“Obviously, we made a lifelong commitment to our children,” explained the Grammy winner, who also has two teenage sons, Usher V and Navid Ely, with ex-wife Tameka Foster. “It wouldn’t be weird if we got married. We’re already here. You know what I’m saying?”

Usher and Goichoechea, a music industry executive, first sparked dating rumors in June 2019 after they were photographed together at producer Keith Richards’ birthday party.

In November 2023, Usher told PEOPLE that he felt “lucky” to have his then-girlfriend by his side in his life, calling her his “support system.”

“I’m very lucky, very lucky to have an amazing friend and not just a partner,” he said. – She is my best friend and I love her.
