Vaibhav Gupta was born in 2024 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh (20 years old; as of 2024). He attended Mantola Public School in Kayanpur, Kanpur. He got admission in Christ Church College, Kanpur. He has loved singing since he was a child. While he was in school, he had classical music training. He is a smart student and is the head teacher of the school. According to him, his father wanted him to pursue engineering but due to his interest in music, Vaibhav decided to pursue a career in singing.

- When he was young, his mother and father were separated, which put a lot of mental pressure on him. In an interview, he mentioned that his father was always there for him to help him cope with the stress.
- Before joining Indian Idol, he had been rejected many times but he dealt with it with a lot of patience. He said in an interview,
I have never cried because of rejection, failure, or frustration. I kept it all inside, and it gradually turned into a raging fire to achieve my goals. I am a huge devotee of Mahadev and I used to always go to the temple to talk to God and felt a sense of peace and reassurance that one day things will work out. I’m so glad this happened today. “
- According to him, he wants to do playback singing in Bollywood. In an interview, he added that he wants to be a playback singer for actors Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Ranveer Singh.
