Wheel of Fortune may have a lot of changes ahead of her as Pat Sajak films her final season as showrunner, but Vanna White isn’t worried about what’s next. In fact, she thinks she’ll be seeing the Sajak family a lot in the years to come!
Maggie Sajak, daughter of the longtime co-host who announced in June that he would step down from his position after the show’s 41st season, joined Wheel of Fortune team as a social media correspondent in 2021 and, according to White, could have even more ahead of her.
“I think she’s a good replacement if for some reason I can’t be there,” the co-host said Hey! by Maggie, 28. “She’s been around it her whole life, so I think she can definitely replace me.”
Since her father started hosting the show in 1981, Maggie has long been a familiar face on viewers’ screens. In fact, she made her Wheel of Fortunedebuted as a baby.

She has since become the show’s social media correspondent and made her hosting debut earlier this year when she was a sub for White, 66, who competed in the episode.
“She’s precious, she’s beautiful, she’s very good,” the co-host of Pat’s daughter enthuses. “I think she learned a lot from her dad because he’s so good at conducting interviews.”
White added, “I think she’s good for our show.”

While the news of her father’s impending retirement disappointed fans who have watched him for more than four decades, White reflected on how far the pair have come since hosting together.
“When we started @WheelofFortune, who could have imagined we’d still be at it 41 seasons later?” ua wrote publish at X (formerly Twitter). “Couldn’t be happier to have shared the stage with you all these years with one more.”
She added: “Cheers, @patsajak!”

Despite stepping down from his on-air role, Pat, 76, isn’t leaving the show entirely.
In a statement to PEOPLE at the time of his retirement news, Suzanne Prete, EVP of Game Shows at Sony Pictures Television, confirmed his career milestone but also noted that he will serve as a consultant on the series for the next three years.
“As a host Wheel of Fortunee, Pat has entertained millions of viewers across America for 40 incredible years,” said Prete. “We are incredibly grateful and proud to have had Pat as our host all these years, and we look forward to celebrating his remarkable career throughout the upcoming season. Pat has agreed to continue as a consultant on the show for three years after hosting last year, so we’re delighted he’s sticking around Wheel of Fortune family!”

In July, Ryan Seacrest was announced as Pat’s replacement and signed a multi-year deal that also makes him a series producer.

I can say, along with the rest of America, that it has been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel at home with them.” home,” Seacrest, 48, said in a statement. “Pat, I love the way you always celebrate the competitors and relax the viewers at home. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition.”
In response, Pat tweeted that he was “looking forward to my final season starting this fall and then handing the car keys to Ryan Seacrest in September 2024.”
White will stay and host alongside Seacrest through at least the 2025-26 season.
