Victoria Beckham Says Becoming a Grandmother Is ‘Not Happening Yet’: ‘Hopefully One Day’

Victoria Beckham is still not a grandmother – although she hopes to be one day.

In a new interview with Voguein which the fashion designer and former Spice Girl, 49, discussed the advice she gives her children Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12, Victoria reacted after the magazine asked her is she “excited” to be a grandmother” and will she soon step into that role.

“Oh, Jesus! What?” Victoria, visibly taken aback, replied, clutching her collar and fan.

“Wait. I don’t think it’s happening yet,” she continued. “Unless you know something I don’t, it’s not happening yet.”

Victoria then recalled a recent conversation she had with her grandparents: Vogueis Anna Wintour.

“The last time I was with Anna, I said, ‘Anna, what do your grandchildren call you?’ And she said to me, ‘Anna,’ Victoria said. “And I said, ‘Well, that’s very elegant.’ So maybe I’ll go that route. But that’s not happening yet.”

“I hope that one day, if I’m blessed, it will be wonderful – but we’re not there yet,” she added.

When it comes to his own happiness, Brooklyn previously expressed a strong desire to start a family with Nicola (29) as soon as possible.

“I could have had kids yesterday,” he told PEOPLE in 2022. “Obviously it’s my wife’s body, but I’ve always wanted to have a bunch of kids around. It’s something I really want to do.

Then Beckham’s eldest son also expressed his desire to emulate the path his father, David Beckham, took to fatherhood.

“My dad was young when he had me,” he told PEOPLE. “He was 23 years old. And I am now 23 years old. I’ve always wanted to be a young dad.”
