Victoria Beckham Says She and Siblings Would Ask to Go to School in Van Instead of Rolls-Royce: ‘Wanted to Fit In’

Victoria Beckham just wanted to fit in growing up.

During the former Spice Girls’ interview with Nicole Kidman for Vogue Australiathe Oscar winner asked Beckham (50) if she really drove to school in a Rolls-Royce.

“You know, my dad had a Rolls-Royce and he also had a white van,” she began. “I came from a working-class background, so my dad in the 80s, he was an entrepreneur, started his business with my mom at the kitchen table and it was doing well, so he bought himself a Rolls-Royce.”

Beckham added that she went to regular school and did not live in a big house, but as soon as her father Anthony Adams started earning, he treated himself to a luxury car.

“One day we would go to school in a Rolls-Royce and one day in a van because he would still be working, he was an electrical wholesaler and he was a big worker.”

“Me and my siblings begged him, can we please go to school in the white van?” Beckham continued. “Like, we were humbled by the idea of ​​getting into a Rolls-Royce. How things have changed!”
