Recently, a man who had cared for an elephant in intensive care for decades passed away, and the grieving elephant showed up at his funeral to take him to rest. An elephant walks 15 miles in 2 hours to say goodbye to her beloved human on earth.

Damodaran Νair, better known as Omanchetan in his community, has worked with elephants for over 60 years and has a remarkable handling of them. However, there is one elephant in particular, named Ρallata Βrahmadathan, who is the mahout’s favorite pet, treated as if it were the mahout’s biological son, and they have a special relationship.

Damodaran’s son Rajesh had this to say about his father’s relationship with the elephant: “The relationship and love between the two – Damodaran Nair and Pallata Brahmadathan is one to watch and emulate.” In an interview with Τhe Νews Minute, he also revealed this: “Until last week, Omanachetan has been active as the manager of Pallata. They have developed a deep relationship over the years. He considers Ρallata his son.”

A few days before the mahout’s death, his health deteriorated. Just before he left, when Rajesh visited him, Damodaran told him that he wanted to see his favorite elephant one last time. Within minutes of making this request, the devoted mahout breathed his last.

As the pious mahout took his last breath before his wish came true, his baby elephant set himself on a mission to travel 15 miles, in two hours, to escort the remains to his funeral. .

After paying homage, the elephant stood in front of the porch raising his trunk twice. Then Rajesh comes and hits him on the head.

After hovering for a few more minutes, ρallata solemnly saluted his mahout one last time by raising his hose again and retreating. This farewell gesture of the elephant brought tears to everyone present at the funeral.
