Raghav Sachar is an Indian singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist with expertise in over 36 instruments.

Raghav was born on Friday, July 24, 1981, in Kolkata, West Bengal (42 years old; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Leo. He grew up in a family of music lovers. He has loved music since he was a child and started playing the harmonica at the age of 4. He attended Mount St. Mary’s School in Dricant. At the age of 15, he was selected by the Indian government to represent him in a cultural exchange program in Russia. He has performed with his band Canzona at important venues like IIT and BITS Pilani.
He received his Bachelor of Music degree from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, where he studied composition and performance. He has even toured internationally as a brand ambassador for Monash University. Raghav’s qualifications also include affiliations with Berklee College of Music, Boston, and Trinity College, London. While at Monash University, he collaborated with Shubha Mudgal on his albums and even produced commercials with Shantanu Moitra and Pradeep Sarkar.

Raghav’s father, Rajinder Kumar Sachar, served as the Indian police chief and served in the Indian Army after his retirement. He also served in BSF. His mother’s name is Usha Sachar.

Raghav’s debut album “For The First Time” was released in November 2003. The album, released through HMV Records, is a mix of Indian melodies and western instrumentation.
Following the album’s success, he released albums 24 Carat (2005), Play It Loud (2007) and Charming Lootera (2009) through Universal Music. In 2010, he released the album “Vande Mataram”, which was recognized by ministers Kamal Nath and Jaipal Reddy. Between 2009 and 2015, he released 12 albums under the label “Raghav Sachar Music” which he founded in 2009.

He has also worked on several other films such as Sunday (2008), One Two Three (2008), I, I Am the Lord (2013) and Rustom (2016 Year). He has played various instruments in more than 150 films.
