In an interview, he talked about his love for drama and how he started his acting career in drama. He said,
The drama happened at a very interesting time in my life. I ran away from home because I wanted to do art (laughs). During that time I met a theater director who allowed me to live with him. He continued to compose plays, write poems, novels and many other things. That intrigued me very early in life—that passion, the way with words, the effort that an actor puts into a performance. Soon, I was playing my first show with them. Then, everything else happened because I couldn’t stop. I’m constantly looking for drama and exploring at every stage of my life. “

In the same year, he had a supporting role as Sanjay Subramaniam in the Hindi thriller Mithyam – The False Truth, in which a doctor’s values and commitment are tested as he discovers numerous cases of mercury poisoning and how to deal with them. In 2023, he appeared in the Hindi film Kerala Story. The film focuses on the controversial topic of love jihad, involving the conversion of women from Kerala to Islam and their alleged abduction to Syria controlled by the Islamic State at the height of its power.
In November 2022, director Sudipto Sen released the trailer of the movie “Kerala Story”, claiming that about 32,000 girls converted to Islam and forcibly joined the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Syria and Afghanistan. The trailer faced backlash for allegedly depicting the country as a center of Islamic terrorism. Tamil Nadu journalist BR Arvindakshan filed a complaint seeking a ban on the film unless the director confirmed the facts. He believed the film could undermine peace, unity and integrity and cause tension in the community. A case was registered under Section 153 A and B of the Indian Penal Code, which relates to inciting disharmony and enmity between religious groups. However, Sen said at the press conference that the film itself will address all questions and concerns after its release, and he will further confirm other issues later.
