Vijayapriya Nithyananda was an American diplomat in Kailaasa, a Hindu state founded by the self-styled godman Nithyananda. In February 2023, she represented the fictional country United States of Kailasa (USK) at the United Nations conference in Geneva, Switzerland.

Vijayapriya Nithyananda aka Ma Vijayapriya was born in Washington, DC, USA. From 2005 to 2009, she studied at the University of Cambridge in the UK (O-Level and A-Level levels). From 2010 to 2014, she studied for a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. From 2010 to 2014, she received the University of Manitoba International Undergraduate Scholarship. In November 2011, she was named to the University of Manitoba Honor Roll for her outstanding academic performance. In June 2014, the University of Manitoba named her to the Dean’s List.

Controversial remarks about the Indian government
In February 2023, she represented Kailasa USA at the United Nations General Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. At the convention, she accused the Indian government of persecuting her guru Nityananda in order to revive Hindu traditions. She asked further,
What can be done at the national and international levels to prevent the persecution of the 20 million Hindu immigrants in Nithyananda and Kailasa. “
She targeted the Indian government at the convention and was criticized for it.
Some even questioned U.N. officials for allowing diplomats from a fictional country to attend the meeting. Later, the United Nations responded to the query and stated that the input provided by Vijayapriya had not been taken into consideration. According to sources, the UN expert panel said that Nityananda’s state ‘Kailasa’ participated in the UN meeting as an NGO and not as a state.
