Vikas Kandola was born on Thursday, April 2, 1998, in Budan village, Jind district, Haryana (age 25; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Gemini. After completing his schooling, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rajiv Gandhi College, Uchana, Haryana. According to media reports, he started practicing kabaddi at the age of eight at a local kabaddi court in a village in Haryana. His coach Dharm Raj encouraged him to participate in the National Inter-School Kabaddi Championship. Later, Vikas Kandola moved to Bhalgarh in Sonepat for a year of training with the Sports Authority of India (SAI). The following year, he moved to Gujarat and underwent three years of training at the SAI Netaji Subhas Western Center in Gandhinagar.

Professional Kabaddi League (PKL)
In 2016, Vikas Kandola made his debut in the Professional Kabaddi League (PKL) with the Dabang Delhi team and scored 3 points in 17 raids. Later, he was acquired by Haryana Steelers for Rs. In PKL Season 5, he scored 58 points in 9 games and scored 1.524 million points. He was retained by the team for the sixth season for Rs. 47 lakhs and he scored 177 runs. In the seventh season, they retained him for Rs. 7.783 million points, 195 points in 20 games. In Season 8, he was retained for Rs. 87 lakhs and scored 180 points.
In season 9, Vikas Kandola moved to Bengaluru Bulls for Rs. 170 Crores and scored 139 points. Later, Vikas started working as a traveling ticket inspector with the Indian Railways in Patna, Bihar. Apart from PKL, Vikas also represented Railways in the 3rd Kabaddi Federation Cup tournament in 2019.
