Vineet Kumar is an Indian actor and theater artist who creates films and television series in Hindi, Telugu and English. He is an alumnus of the National School of Drama, New Delhi.

He attended Patna College School in Patna. He then studied law and psychology at Bihar National College, Patna, Bihar. From 1968 to 1989, he received a Master’s degree in Theater Arts and a scholarship from the National School of Drama, New Delhi. In 1973, he joined the theater group of the Indian People’s Theater Society in Patna, India.

He has a sister named Ratna Ranjan.
