Bhanushali started his career with Mumbai Customs as a customs clearance and freight forwarder. Later, Vinod worked as a junior assistant worker at Sahara Film Studios. While he was working there, Gulshan Kumar, founder of Super Cassettes (T-Series), watched him at work and invited Vinod to come along. In November 1994, he invited Vinod to collaborate with T-Series, an opportunity Vinod did not want to turn down.

He dedicated all his time to Gulshan Kumar, even if it meant working more than 18 hours a day. Initially, he worked under the production team, where his main tasks included booking dates for film and song shoots, arranging logistics, and coordinating with directors, producers, and artists (music videos). In an interview, he talked about it and said:
The creative process, creating IP! That’s where it becomes part of my DNA. The idea of creating something from the air and being part of the process of creating something so beautiful excites me and gives me a sense of satisfaction! When something succeeds, I feel proud of it and feel privileged to be a part of it, that’s what drives me! “
From 1996 to 1997, Vinod was offered a position in the marketing team.The first task he received was to put their music on Channel [V] India.He was rejected many times when his song Billo sung by Sukhwinder Singh was played on Channel [V] India. He later became President of Global Marketing and Media Publishing and Content Acquisitions for T-Series. In August 2021, Vinod Pradhan Bhanushali resigned from T-Series after 27 years. In an interview, Vinod, while expressing his gratitude to Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar, talked about his resignation and said:
Whatever I know about music and film, I learned it over my long years in this company. I will always be grateful to my mentors Gulshan Kumar Ji and Bhushan Kumar for providing me a platform, guiding me to excel and continue to grow with the company. “
Start a production studio
In 2021, he started his own production company Bhanushali Studios Limited. The following year, he launched his own music label, Hitz Music.

On April 19, 2023, the investigation wing of the Mumbai Income Tax Department raided the residences and offices of several well-known Bollywood producers. Vinod Bhanushali and film producer and distributor Jayantilal Gada were also targeted in income tax raids. The headquarters of Bhanushali Studios Limited, Hits Music and Vinod were raided by the IT department for alleged income tax fraud and financial irregularities.
