Virgin River returned with a fifth season earlier this month, and fans of the Netflix drama wasted no time in bingeing through all ten episodes.
But if you’ve binged the entire series and want more, you’re in luck because two more episodes will be hitting the streaming site very soon.

Taking to social media, many are sharing the theory that Mel could be in for a shock when she learns the identity of her father. In the trailer, Mel reveals that her dad might be a small-town resident, questioning whether she might have already crossed paths with him without his knowledge – leading some to believe it could be Doc, played by Tim Matheson.
“We did it. We found my father,” she says in the trailer. But we’ll have to wait to find out for sure.

One person, however, was convinced that she might know who it might be. On Twitter, now known as X, they wrote: “Could Doc be Mel’s dad?” Another said: “I think Jack and Mel are going to adopt Chloe. Also… is Doc Mel the biological father?! #VirginRiver.”
A third added: “Guess Doc Mel’s father…” while a fourth agreed: “Who else is predicting Doc Mel’s father in #VirginRiver?” A fifth even joked: “‘Does Doctor Mel’s father’ is the new ‘Who Killed JR’… #VirginRiver.”

Meanwhile, the beloved series has sparked other reactions from fans about the ups and downs the characters have faced in season five. Unsurprisingly, everyone was heartbroken when they found out that Mel and Jack (Martin Henderson) had lost their child, and some were divided on Jack’s reaction.
One person wrote on Reddit: “I don’t like how Jack immediately wanted to try again after Mel just went through what she went through and in my opinion guilt tripped her into maybe wanting to try again even after she said that she was sure that her body was telling her no.”

However, one defended the character, commenting: “I think Jack has been the most supportive, loving and kind partner for Mel during their loss. Communication is so important and I think they handled it beautifully. I just love how they suffered together through this. It was a testament to their love story. I’m still hurt and disappointed, but I have hope for them.”
