The fifth season of River Virgin is almost here and fans are gearing up for the return of Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson as Mel Monroe and Jack Sheridan.
But fans have also shared a theory about the fate of another beloved character, Dan Brady, played by Ben Hollingsworth – and it’s got us pretty worried.

The official Instagram account for the Netflix show shared a hilarious video of its two main stars dancing while filming scenes for the fifth series, with the caption prompting fans to share their predictions about what will happen in the new episodes. Many seem concerned that Brady could end up fatally in the series.

It hasn’t been easy for Brady over the last four seasons after he decided to go work with Calvin, a local criminal who brings nothing but trouble to Virgin River. Despite pleas from his former Marine buddy, Jack, Brady, who is now dating Jack’s sister, Brie, makes bad decisions that often land him in hot water. Let’s hope they have a more positive journey in season five!

Others were quick to share their predictions for other plot points in the upcoming series. One commented: “Predictions: 1. Charmaine will come clean and say why she lied and say who her real dad is. 2. Mel might finally get a baby bump.
“3. Mel will tell Mark’s mom that she can’t sue Mel because Jack is the father. 4. Mel and Jack will talk about what kind of wedding they want.”
Another wrote: “Anticipate a lot of misunderstandings, not listening and people sharing secrets they shouldn’t. Can’t wait!”

A third predicted trouble ahead for Brady but suggested there could be a happy ending: “Tense time for Brady in the hands of Melissa but hopefully it ends well and then the big reveal of the father to the Charmaine twins, I think it could be as shocking as someone who sold their sperm for money when the going got tough like Brady or Ricky?”
So what can fans expect from season five? The synopsis reads: “Season 5 brings surprising new relationships, a shocking breakup, a difficult court trial, a heartbreaking breakup, and a wildfire that threatens the town, bringing some people from Virgin River together while tearing others apart.
