Walkers confirms ANOTHER popular crisp flavour has been AXED from shelves ‘with no notice’

WALKERS has pulled another popular crisp flavor from its shelves “without notice”, customers have complained.

The snack maker has told customers it is no longer making the popular Quavers flavor that only made a comeback two years ago.

The comment was in response to a fan asking what happened to the Quavers salt and vinegar flavor.

“Can’t find them anywhere,” they said on Xu, formerly known as Twitter.

Walkers replied, “We’re sorry to bother you, Linda, but we no longer make this flavor.”

The retro flavor first joined the Walkers line-up in 1993 and returned to shelves in 2021 alongside Quavers Prawn Cocktail following requests from fans of the crisp.

The fan replied: “And without an announcement. It’s a sad day”.

Fans of the soon-to-be-disappeared flavor include celebrity chef Nigella Lawson.

Shortly after the crunchy taste returned, she tweeted: “Why did I just discover Salt and Vinegar Quavers?”

Others were not so convinced.

After spotting the essential lunch, comedian Tim Vine said: “I’m just trying to decide if salt and vinegar flavored Quavers are a good idea or the start of the apocalypse.”

But since its comeback, the chips have gained a cult following.

One fan called them “the best chips ever” and added: “If they stop doing these salt and vinegar shakes again, they’re mad.”

At the moment you can still buy multipacks containing six 16g sachets for £1.95 on the Tesco website.

We couldn’t find them on sale online at other stores like Asda and Sainsbury’s.

But you may still find them available to buy in store or at local independent shops.

The Sun has contacted Walkers for comment.

It comes after Walkers confirmed its Worcester sauce flavored crisps were “no longer part of our range”, leaving customers angry.

Additionally, the beef and onion flavor was discontinued last year.

The crisp brand has also revealed it has made a big change to the recipe of its Thai Sweet Chilli Sensations – and fans aren’t happy about it.

Chips aren’t the only treat that faces chopping, either.

Chocolate giant Nestle has announced that its Caramac bar has been discontinued after 60 years.

Caburys quietly discontinued the popular 30 per cent less sugar Dairy Milk bar earlier this year, which is no longer available to buy.

Additionally, Topic’s iconic dark chocolate bar is now off the shelves.

But it’s not all bad news as some favorite flavors are back.

Quality Street has added its coffee-flavored candy to select cans for the first time in 20 years.

Cadbury’s chocolate coins are back on the shelves after a decade’s absence, and customers are going wild for them.

Meanwhile, Lucozade’s Caribbean Crush is back in stock after being temporarily withdrawn due to supplier issues.
