Watch Coldplay Serenade a Fan Who Says 'Nothing Will Ever Compare' to That Moment (Exclusive)

Coldplay sure know how to make their fans feel special.

On Wednesday, October 2, the band stopped by QVC to promote their upcoming album, Music of the moon. During the tour, they performed several songs — and sang to their biggest fans.

In a clip he shared exclusively with PEOPLE, the “Yellow” musicians accepted the invitation of a fan named Candy and sang her a special song.

“I love you so much. I love what you stand for. I love your love. I love your positivity. I love how you bring it to the masses and you’re just the best,” Candy said over the phone.

At the time, frontman Chris Martin said he was going to “come up with a song” about her.

Sitting in the studio, the band began to play the tune, and Martin repeatedly sang, “We love you Candy.”

“Sending love to Candy/And Candy’s daddy too/Sending love to Candy/We love you always,” he sang.

Candy was delighted with the performance: “I hope and pray that I will meet you one day. I just want to tell you that I love you and there is nothing that can compare to what you just did for me.”

Coldplay announced Music of the moontheir 10th studio album, in June. At that time, they also released their first single, “feelslikeimfallinginlove”.

Music of the moon follows their record from 2021 Music of the sphereswhich included their BTS-assisted global hit “My Universe.” The hit collaboration brought the legendary rock band their first single on the Billboard Hot 100 in 14 years.

Martin, 47, recently made a surprise appearance at the 2024 Global Citizen Festival in New York with Ed Sheeran.

Meanwhile, during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in September, Martin said the band plans to release 12 albums in total.
