Watch Jennifer Lawrence Hilariously Handle a Minor Wardrobe Malfunction Like a Pro at Dior Holiday Event

Jennifer Lawrence was in high spirits at Dior’s Carousel of Dreams celebration — so much so that she could laugh off a little wardrobe malfunction at the event.

On Monday, No anger The 33-year-old actress attended Saks Fifth Avenue’s holiday window unveiling in New York, where she addressed the crowd and counted down to the Dior light show alongside Saks CEO Marc Metrick and Christian Dior CEO Delphine Arnault.

Just as she began her speech, Lawrence flinched, surprised by the volume of her microphone. This caused the strap of her Dior outfit to come undone, as seen in the video taken by the party W magazine.

“I’m so sorry it was so loud and my belt popped,” she said, laughing as she covered her mouth with her hands.

But like the professional she is, the Oscar winner continued with ease.

“I have had the honor of being part of the Dior family for a long time. Looking around, this seems to be the perfect place to celebrate the holidays,” she said while introducing the spectacular light show that included fireworks.

Lawrence, a longtime Dior ambassador, wore a preppy look from the fashion house’s spring-summer 2024 collection.

Her outfit consisted of a white button-up top styled with a raised collar, a pleated black silk skirt, a black woolen coat and pleated boots. She accessorized with a silver chain bracelet, eye-catching stud earrings, and a leather Cruz headband from Jennifer Behr.

Other stars included actresses Nina Dobrev, Tracee Ellis Ross, Alexandra Daddario, Rachel Zegler and Ashley Park.

Lawrence has created many memorable style moments on the red carpet wearing Dior.

Back in March, at the Cannes Film Festival, she made a high-fashion statement in a cardinal red custom Christian Dior Couture ball gown with a wrap scarf, plunging neckline, and a full pleated skirt that covered her flip flops underneath! She even looked to the brand’s popular beauty products (specifically the Addict Lip Maximizer) to achieve glossy lips.

And before that, at the 2022 Gotham Awards, she turned heads in a classic black dress that oozed Old Hollywood glamour.

She even chose to wear Dior on her wedding day, walking down the aisle in a bespoke gown that was given the royal treatment. At the time, a source told PEOPLE that the designer item was stored in her own private guest room at the Viking Hotel in Newport, Rhode Island, the city where she and husband Cooke Maroney married in 2019.
