Watch Jimmy Fallon’s Fellow Late-Night Hosts Lovingly Mock Him During Trivia About Their Wives (Exclusive)

Jimmy Fallon’s fellow late-night hosts help him master the art of trivia in this week’s episode Strike Group Five.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek of the new podcast episode, Fallon asks his co-hosts Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver, Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert a series of trivia questions about their marriages — but the game quickly turns into a round of “roast the host” instead.

“Jimmy Kimmel, I talked to Molly [McNearney], your wife,” Fallon, 48, begins. “So what do you think her response was? Do you remember when you fell in love?”

“When she fell in love or when I in love?” asks Kimmel, 55.

Fallon admits that the game’s setup is “a little confusing” and explains, “I think it’s when your to fall in love.”

After he said that, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver the presenter, 46, took the opportunity to lightly mock him. “You wrote these questions so badly, Jimmy,” he teases me. “You can’t say ‘I think’. That’s your fucking question!”

Then Fallon gets in on the fun and jokes, “My lawyer is pointing at me saying, ‘Say, I’m thinking.'”

Oliver notes that this is the “exact conversation” he had with his wife, Kate Norley, the other night about Fallon’s trivia questions. Reconstructing their discussion, Oliver adds, “‘What is he thinking?’ ‘I don’t know, man. Get inside his head. It’s a happier place.'”

Meyers, 49, chimes in with a smile: “I like that we answer every question by putting Jimmy [Fallon] in place. ‘But what to do your mean?'”

“You asked the question!” Oliver emphasizes with a laugh.

“Aren’t you nominated for an Emmy for Best Game Show Host?” Kimmel is joking Tonight’s show host, who was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in the Outstanding Game Show category in July for his game show That’s my jam.

All five hosts burst into laughter when Fallon then admitted that he was clearly not a replacement for the late-night writers amid the ongoing Hollywood strikes.

“I need segment producers and writers so badly,” sighs Fallon. “I miss them all so much.”

Everything you need to know about the Hollywood Writers Guild strike, including the TV shows and movies affected

The WGA has been on strike since May 2, after the Guild and the Alliance of Film and Television Producers (AMPTP) failed to reach a new agreement before the current contract expired. Writers are asking for more pay, streaming residuals, minimum staff and limits on artificial intelligence (AI), to name a few key issues.

The actors joined the writers in a rally on July 14 when SAG-AFTRA, led by president Fran Drescher, also went on strike. They are asking for higher pay, streaming residuals and protection from artificial intelligence, among other things.
