Taylor Swift had fans To watch at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

The superstar, who announced a brand new album, Department for tortured poets while accepting her 13th Grammy during Sunday’s ceremony, she hit the red carpet in Reputation-coded ensemble that ended up being a complete red herring. (Just as her website warned us it would be.)

Swift’s dedication to detail in her look was so committed that she even had her stylist turn the clock hands on her custom necklace (made by Lorraine Schwartz) to midnight, causing everyone to turn their heads Reputation (Taylor’s Version) dropped on Grammy night at midnight. And PEOPLE captured the moment in the clip below (see the 52-second mark).

Earlier on Sunday, Swift’s website appeared to crash, displaying the error message “Error 321 Failed to fetch background.” Swifties were quick to point out that the code was a communication error that would occur on a fax machine with a bad phone line. The lead single on Reputation is “Look what you made me do,” and the first line is the famous, “I’m sorry, old Taylor can’t get to the phone right now.” All checks, right? wrong

Enter other text: bold line: “hneriergrd.” Online sleuths quickly deciphered it to get a “red herring”. A red herring is a clue meant to distract you from something else in the game.

We now know that the aforementioned Red Herring was the new album — which she shocked fans with when she said it would be released on April 19.

Swift was nominated for six awards at Sunday’s ceremony and stepped out in a black-and-white look that was filled Reputation-era easter eggs.

She paired her strapless Schiaparelli with black opera gloves and 300 carats of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds — black and white, like Tail album cover. She put on as many as six necklaces – can this refer to Reputation be her sixth album? Even the wavy hair and red lips seemed to hint at that stylish era of her life.

After the Grammys air, Swift will fly to Tokyo, Japan for the next leg of her Eras Tour, which kicks off on February 7 with four straight shows, before possibly returning stateside to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, which is also her 13th game.
