Weight Loss Influencer Mila De Jesus Who Died at 35 Is Remembered by Husband: ‘My Beautiful Wife and My Best Friend’

Mila De Jesus’ husband, George Kowszik, pays tribute to his late wife and thanks her friends who supported her.

Following the 35-year-old influencer’s death on January 12, Kowszik, 61, shared multiple tributes to his wife on Facebook.

“I’m not very good with words and conversation here,” he wrote on January 13. “Yesterday I lost my beautiful wife and my best friend whom I loved so much.”

Kowszik later shared a series of photos from the couple’s September 2023 wedding, as well as sweet snaps of their relationship.

On Tuesday, Kowszik wrote a message of thanks to those who have begun to support him during this challenging time.

“All the friends and family of my wife and I. Your beautiful kind, caring and loving beautiful words and incredible inspiring PRAYERS… have instilled such PEACE… into my 60 year life on this earth as I have ever felt,” he began the post.

“My wife loved me and believes in me through God, which affected my and her life together,” he continued. “I will never forget what God blessed me and my beautiful [wife] and her very wonderful children.”

He concluded his thank-you post by sincerely writing, “I’m sorry I can’t talk right now.. I’m crying too much. forgive me.”

On Monday, De Jesus’ daughter, Anna Clara, confirmed the fitness influencer’s death by sharing a message on her mother’s Instagram page.

“It is with great sadness that we announce that our beloved Mila de Jesus passed away this Friday,” read the post alongside a black-and-white photo of De Jesus. “At this time of pain please respect family and friends and we will send our respects to Mila who will be greatly missed.”

In the caption, Anna Clara added: “We are very saddened to hear that our beautiful mother has passed away.” All prayers and condolences are appreciated. Keep praying for us. Thank you ❤️.”

The cause of De Jesus’ death has not yet been revealed. He left behind his wife, daughter Anna and three sons, Pedro Henrique, Joao and Bento Luis.

De Jesus — who was born in Brazil and lived in Worcester, Massachusetts — rose to internet fame after undergoing bariatric surgery in October 2017 and sharing her weight loss journey with her 59,000 Instagram followers. De Jesus was also known for her popular makeup tutorials for her 103,000 YouTube subscribers.
