What do YOU see when you look at this optical illusion? It says loads about how your brain works

DO you see a mermaid in this picture?

Or do you see a fish?

The answer determines whether you’re right-brained or left-brained, according to this optical illusion.

The brain contains two hemispheres that each perform different roles.

If you’re right-brained, you’re said to be more creative, thoughtful, subjective and intuitive.

But the downsides are that you’re also probably more spontaneous, unpredictable and, in some cases, not very good with other people.

Meanwhile, left-brained people are more analytical, logical and methodical in their thinking.

A negative, however, is that they can sometimes be less emotionally open that right-brained people.

In this illusion, those who see the fish are right-brained, while those who see a mermaid are more likely to be left-brained.

In the comments section on the illusion, which was shared on TikTok, many people were quick to admit that they found it easier to see a seal and a donkey head rather than a fish and a mermaid.

“I see a donkey?” one person wrote, to which the poster, Lauryn Celine, replied: “More creative than me, took me ages to see that.”

“I see either a donkey/kangaroo and a seal,” someone else commented, with Lauryn replying: “These images are so cool tbf.”

“I see a seal, and donkey and mermaid,” another comment read.

“Oi oi triple threat!! I don’t see the mermaid only the tail,” Lauryn answered.
