TikTok has been criticized for its addictive nature and the extensive data it collects from its users. Despite this, the platform continues to maintain its popularity among a significant part of the population.
What does Nudge mean on Tiktok?
The “Nudge” functionality available on the social media platform TikTok allows users to request their favorite content creators to start a live streaming session. By pushing the creator, the user sends a notification indicating their interest in watching the live stream. If the creator decides to start a live session, the user will be notified immediately.
Currently, the Nudge feature is still in the testing phase on TikTok and therefore not available to all users. However, if a user owns this feature, they can access it by navigating to the desired content creator’s profile and selecting the bell icon located in the upper right corner. From there, they can tap “Live Notification Settings” and activate the “Allow viewers to push you” toggle.
Once the Nudge feature is enabled, users can nudge a creator by tapping the “Nudge” button located below the creator’s profile picture. Alternatively, I can also nudge the creator by typing “/nudge” in the comments section of my videos.

- Users are limited to pushing a specific creator once per day.
It should be noted that prompting does not guarantee a response from the creator as they may ignore the notification or choose not to start a live session.
