Gogglebox fan favorites, the Michaels family, are sadly leaving the series in 2021 following the passing of Andy Michael, Carolyn’s husband and father, into the hands of Louis, Alex, Pascal and Katy. A television personality from Brighton has died aged 61 after a short illness.
At the time, executive producer Victoria Ray confirmed the family wanted privacy after leaving the show, telling the Daily Star, “We’ve had someone die from the show recently. We’ve lost our mind. Mary and Andy and we lost Pete a while ago. loved ones won’t be on the show at the moment. Understandably, they want their privacy.”

Although Victoria said the door is always open for Michael to return to the show if he wants to, they have yet to decide on that. So what did they do when they no longer appear on our screens?
Although Carolyn doesn’t seem to be on social media and Louis hasn’t posted in a while, Alex does occasionally share Instagram snaps, including revealing his passion for the creation of funny fleeces for sale in which Louis posed. The family left the program earlier in the 2015 general election when Andy became a UKIP MP.
