What you see first in mind-bending optical illusion says loads about your personality – so are you naive or a cynic?

A PERSEVERING OPTICAL ILLUSION can tell you if you are naive or cynical, depending on what you see first.

Hedieh shared a video on TikTok explaining the illusion, based on the painting All is Vanity by Charles Allen Gilbert.

What you see for the first time in this image says a lot about your personality.

“When you look at this photo, what do you see?” she started.

“If you immediately notice a skull, it means that you are a bit cynical or realistic and think that beautiful things don’t last forever.”

However, other people may have seen the woman first by looking in the mirror.

Hedieh continues: “If you first saw a woman looking at herself in a cosmetic mirror, it means that you are a bit naive and may not be aware of the threats and consequences.”

People were quick to chime in in the comments section, writing: “Beautiful.

“Thank you very much, Hedieh.”

“I saw two women enjoying tea at the table,” added another.

“Of course the skull is there, but it’s not that important.”

“The skull, everyone sees the skull,” insisted a third.

But someone else claimed that this was not true, because they were the first to see “a woman looking in a mirror.”

“Realistic 100%,” wrote another.

As someone else mused, “I saw both at the same time!”
