When does Women’s World Cup 2023 start and when to watch England

The Lions will soon travel to Australia and New Zealand for the 2023 FIFA World Cup, which the two nations co-host.

When does the 2023 World Cup start?

The ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup begins on July 20.

The tournament is split into nine cities and ten venues, with six matches taking place in Australia and four in New Zealand.

The first game saw New Zealand against Norway, before Australia against Ireland later in the day.

The knockout round kicks off on August 5, while the World Cup final will be held at the Australia Stadium in Sydney on August 20.

How to watch the Women’s World Cup

After a controversial dispute between many European countries and FIFA, the television rights were agreed. Gianni Infantino, the president of Fifa, has threatened to cut communications in Europe’s ‘big five’ after initial offers from broadcasters were low.

“Our moral and legal obligation is not to sell the FIFA Women’s World Cup cheap,” Infantino said. “So if the bids continue to be unfair, we will be forced not to broadcast the FIFA Women’s World Cup to the ‘big five’ in Europe.”

However, the deal was completed in mid-June so UK viewers could watch every match on BBC and ITV.

The BBC will broadcast live on television as well as on the BBC Sport website. Football fans will also be able to tune into BC Radio 5 Live, 5 Sports Extra and the BBC Sounds app for live audio commentary.

For ITV, live coverage will be available on television as well as the ITVX streaming platform.

When to watch England play in the Women’s World Cup

He will play Group D matches in Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide.

Their first match against Haiti is on July 22nd, which kicks off at 10:30am BST and will be shown on ITV.
