Its discovery began in 1947 by the Jodrell Bank Observatory in the UK and occurred when Earth passed through a dense section of two interplanetary meteor streams, allowing observations of up to 60 per hour.

When will the Arietid meteor shower appear?

Mexico is one of the countries that has always attracted the greatest interest in observing this type of astronomical phenomenon, and the Ariétidas Star Show is the most important event in June. According to a report by Mexico’s National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics, they indicate that the Arietid meteor shower will occur between June 14 and 24, on the day of the greatest luminosity. At most, about 50 meteors can be seen per hour.
